These coins were minted in Jerusalem by the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate during the very year or year folling Jesus Christ's Crucifixion and Resurrection. The coins were also being minted during the very first year of the first century church which begain with Peter's sermon in Acts 2. Each of these coins show a full Lituus symbol (looks like a cain) on the front of the coins. Most of the coins minted during this time had off-centered images and are not as nice as these coins are. Most of these coins also show much of the wreath image on hte reverse side. The coins are still in their natural patina finish. These coins are sold individually. The 9 coins pictured show the front and back sides of the coins listed. These are the actual coins being offered for sale. These coins in this conditin often sell for more than $100 each. Each coin comes in a 2x2 coin safety flip with a description of the coin. You can also purchase an special "Pontius Pilate" olive wood box to house and desplay your coin.
